For the last number of months, we've been working with different colleagues and consultants to bring into awareness blind spots in EFFT related to emotion and dominant culture, white supremacy, parent blame, etc. Join Dr. Adele Lafrance and and Shayla Dube MSW, RSW, LCSW as they share with you their process AND a summary of how the model is evolving as a result.
Shayla is a clinician and consultant on matters of race, racialization, racial healing and Africentric cultural safety. She offers a wonderful perspective as a Bantu Ndebele child who was planted in Zimbabwe, and who has been in Canada since her early twenties.
While this is a paid event, 50% percent of funds will go to the charity of Shayla's choice, with the other 50% being used to fund scholarships for EFFT clinicians with marginalized identities.
